HELPING THE KIDS WITH THEIR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

"I am not good of wrapping Christmas presents, however, I can unwrap them quickly!"

Chacha rescue dog has her own way in this household of 12 dogs. The other 11 dogs would let go of the the present when I would tell them. But not Chacha, she becomes more determent to keep it.

Kids howling and Mom yelling. Thats the Christmas spirit in our home right now!

Never Let Your Voice be Silent

2016 heart emoticon
Stop telling us women what we are going to do to be not violated. Tell the men instead to stop violate women!
At least 90 women were being harassed and violated New Years eve in Koln, Germany. Kolns Mayoress had after the incident said that women should keep themselves an arms length away from male strangers.
Is it strange that this statement wakes anger and hate among women?(and fear) (info taken from advokat Fritz)
Before New Years eve, in the middle of the day, Olivia (10y) took Chacha our big heavy Cane Corso out for a walk in our little German Village. After only ten minutes Olivia comes running home, scared but thankful.
A group of older boys had come walking towards her. They were laughing, and one said something to her. She didn't understand what they were saying, its was not in English or German or Swedish) The boy was coming closer and tried to grabb her arm! Chacha (our dog) that loves people started to growl and showed them her teeth. Everybody continued to laugh and backed away.
We never saw them again, and it hasn't happen again...but the main point is that it made Olivia scared in an uncomfortable way. Not like when the boys on the street tees her -- like "normal" boys do in their innocent age.
I remember one event in Sweden, in my neighbourhood. A woman got raped on her way home. The police wrote it off since according to "them" she had had a very short skirt and proably invited the event herself.
What signals does this give out to the men? (and women)
Never let your voice be silent.....

Sully is Cold and Starving

At 08.30 this morning, I got a phone call. I totally forgot it was a holiday today, and family time, so I answered. It was Angie. With an upset voice she tells me there is a young boxer dog that is in a terrible shape, only skin and bones. She will not survive without immediate help.

I look with begging eyes to my husband who is home today; "Can you drive and take a look?"

Via cell phone and computer I am sick in bed, trying to coordinate everything; pictures are being sent to me; sure she really need help. She got some wounds on her back.

Hanging teets! Can you gently squeeze from her tummy and down, any milk? ..."No" Good, she doesn't have puppies somewhere that will starve without her.

Ok, bring her in to the crate in my SUV.

No veterinarians are open today! Angie can you have her until tomorrow? Yes? Good!

We will take her into the veterinarian clinic first thing tomorrow morning. Please keep Sully in your thoughts and hearts.

Let's Hope

After many days of working with rescuing strays I promised my dogs that today would be their day. Trooper, our beige Labrador and I need to bond so I thought why not go with me for a walk on the beach? Trooper is a one year-old loving goof with a lot of energy; and with blue sky and sunshine, a babysitter to Max we went down to the beach.

We had just walked 30 meters when Trooper stops and indicates there is something along a nearby fence. Of course, I walk over!

It was a terrible view, my hands started to shake. There, half buried in the sand with his head stuck under the fence, was the skinniest Dalmatian I have ever seen. It was just skin and bones! The pictures don't even begin to show how horrible he looked, wedged under the fence and too exhausted to get free. He was shaking so much and looking at me with his beautiful eyes, begging for kindness.

I could count his ribs, his back hip bones were standing up, he couldn't walk --- that's how weak he was. I thought that maybe he had his back bones broken?

I called Angie, a Scottish volunteer for Animals Without Limits, and she agreed to meet me to help. I passed Antionetta, the dog-store lady, while I was on my way to drop poor Trooper off at home--so much for our bonding. Antionetta had a bottom of a cage that we brought with us, and we returned to the beach.

Thanks to my wonderful helpers we were able to lift him up on the steel plate with blankets and carry him back to the SUV. Even if the Dalmatian was a skin and bone 20kg, it was heavy walking in the sand. Five men glared at us but no one approached to help.

Off to LegaProAnimale and in the warm SUV and one hour of rest he was able to walk barely, but what a sight!

Oscar --working name--so sweet and wanted to cuddle up to me the whole time, his closed mouth was sniffing in my hair.

He is the most fantastic, gentle, loving, thankful dog I have met in a long time.

He had an American microchip.....maybe tomorrow we will know more about "Oscar."

Lets hope for Amore solution, and Amore recovery!

Client Healing

Last Wednesday I had the honor to meet Holly, a sweet but very nervous dog who has a big loving heart. In her heart is a big thorn that the human beings have planted.

Kath brought her over and we stayed outside my house since I didn't want Holly to think that I would be her new owner. Since I could sense from her "Everyone that I have loved leaves me!"

Animals and children don't have "time thinking" (sense of time) and the heart doesn't have a time-table either. That is why we heal in different tempos.

I knew right away that I had to meet Holly again. She was too nervous and couldn't stand still for a moment. I ignored her, like I do with all my clients. It is the same with us humans, not all off us want to be hugged!

It is a sad thing that we think that just because it is a dog (or another animal) it wants to be petted. If it shows irritation, the person can many times become angry at the animal and hit it, or give the animal away saying "this dog is aggressive"

Let animals and children show you when they are ready for your effection!

Holly could "show" pictures that in one home it was very hectic and not balanced. There, dogs climbing all over each other. I told Kath that she needed someone with a relaxing calm home, no children (the sound of screams) and with a person(s) that have the healing ability.

I got an e mail this morning together with this picture from Kath, "Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know that Genni, the President of "Friends of Naples", is doing wonderfully with Holly. Holly has fallen in love with Genni's husband. Here is a picture of Holly (white dog) and her new friend Roscoe. It is just beautiful."

It is just so amazing that when a dog finally comes to the right family, the healing process starts right away. That is why I am against putting animals to sleep too quickly without first giving adoption a real chance.

Listen, and you will be amazed! That is Amore!
