MULTICULTURAL CELEBRATION

Multicultural confusing. or will it be a good story!

Swedish Christmas 🎄 last night and American Christmas 🎄 this morning.
Yesterday, Santa knocked on our door, then he came back during the night via our chimney, and left us more presents!

SANTA CAME EARLY THIS YEAR

I always say that there is no Christmas without a book (or several books) I always love to open up one book at December 23. In Sweden we call that day for Little Christmas. In southern Sweden was it the day before Christmas, and people were allowed to taste a small amount of food from the up-coming Christmas table.

I invented myself that we could open one Christmas present the day before Christmas. However, this year I couldn't wait. When the books came from Amazon, I opened it up.

I had also totally forgotten that I ordered Vegan Jerky. Spicy and Smokey!
My children and our Dentist loves me extra these days. I baked chocolate chip cookies, and made hot chocolate with mint, marshmallows and on top with vegan whip cream --I have to say, we love Vegan whip cream  more than the "normal" whip cream.
We already jump started our Christmas celebration . "Why not enjoy everything as many days as possible", tells the little child inside of me.

HELPING THE KIDS WITH THEIR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

"I am not good of wrapping Christmas presents, however, I can unwrap them quickly!"

Chacha rescue dog has her own way in this household of 12 dogs. The other 11 dogs would let go of the the present when I would tell them. But not Chacha, she becomes more determent to keep it.

Kids howling and Mom yelling. Thats the Christmas spirit in our home right now!

Glogg Party

Surprise birthday/glogg party for Todd was held last Friday in our house . Little would he know since I had been hiding all the food, and the Swedish winter drink; Glogg-- was hidden in the laundry basket--I knew he wouldn't do any laundry--
IKEA, wonderful store, had everything I needed for a great Christmas table; gingerbread cookies, julmust (drink), chocolate, salmon, meatballs, mini sausages, herring...well you name it! A christmas tree was bought and decorated, and I even found hyacinths (flowers).

Our home smelled Christmas and with lovely friends, we sang for Todd first Swedish, then German and finished off with American happy birthday song (our Rumanians had to leave early, would have loved to hear Happy Birthday in Rumanian).
Instead of presents we did another tradition. The guests had to bring a bag of dogfood that we later this week donates to a shelter for homeless dogs.

It was very appreciated, both by humans, and I know the dogs will appreciate it too.
