LET THE CHILDREN KNOW WE ARE THERE FOR THEM

I held a lecture about my work as an animal psychologist. A mother approached me wanting to talk to me in private. We arranged for a day to meet since I could feel her sadness, like she had one million of stones hanging around her neck. We met in a beautiful park sitting on a bench. It took some minutes before she took a deep breath and started to tell me her story.(-- In my book I wrote about me being bullying in school. The years of horror, constantly nightmares and fear during the day. The brain and heart never rested from anxiety.---)
Her son is paralyzed laying in a bed like a baby, despite that he is now 16 years old. Close to every day was her boy harassed, with words. His dad told him to hit back and they would stop bullying him at school.

"Boys will always be boys! You have to stand up for yourself!"
His son tried but they were four against him that day. The teacher was yelling at everyone, even the boy being attacked. The teacher disliked that he was causing a problem that she didn't want in her classroom.

When he walked home from school one day, the boys were following him. When no one saw they attacked him, badly.

To make many years of battle and tears short. Every one in school blamed on each other, denial, fear and then....silence. Some teachers changed school, but the children had to stay.

We adults don't like or accept to be treated incorrect, being yelled at, called names or hit!!!

What are we teaching our children by our silence?
How will they become as adults?

The best defense against Bullying, Cyberbullying, Harassment, and even threats of physical violence is to create an atmosphere where children can communicate with adults. Too many children feel unprotected and unsafe not just in schools but in their communities.

Our silence is not helping the children. Lets be great raw-models so our children can be proud over us....and safe.

COLORFUL FRIENDS

Still I have "bad" days from having  Chronicle Lyme. Not as often as before and I am blessed/lucky that the days are not every day. But when they come and surprise me, it feels colorless.
My muscles stops to work, I feel nauseas and can only eat fresh spinach (Mrs Popeye ).
I am like a zombie. Cannot think and work.
Its scary when the body shuts down!  And, I cannot plan--my doctors already told me that it will be difficult to plan vacations and trips. Yesterday, I cried and cried....even if I have faith in my heart some days I allow my self to be colorless. Then when I cannot get up from the dark whole it is wonderful to have friends that makes me smile. --

Something very touching was sent to me from a friend Kirsten. She had colored the post and re-wrote the text.

That gave me a big smile. Thank you Kirsten.

Great Friends

My daughter Olivia is very blessed to meet wonderful, interesting and warm people,-- and so am I. Here together with Benny Rosenqvist, one of the best Mediums... and Olivia's Godfather.

We also went and had coffee with Erika and her husband Bobby at their fantastic apartment. The view from their terrace out to sea was heavenly. Their two sweet dogs Athena and Akilles are so well behaved and charming. Olivia loved to lay next to them in their huge bed (the dogs). Giove will have a paradise family.

AWL also got a donation from both Erika and Benny from a seance they held with a group of people.
Linda, your bags of dog food keep coming in every week. Thank you so much!

Two Months Ago

Gosh, how time flies.
This picture was taken at 0600, December 6th, ten hours later Max was born.
Of course, before heading to the hospital, I had to clean the floor! Kath came over and looked after Olivia the whole day.
Last Sunday, the children and I were invited over to our friend's house for brunch. (My husband was in Kosovo). Malte and Sabine had made a wonderful breakfast. I felt like I was coming into a five start hotel were you can chose everything to eat and drink, and to be able to sit down for hours just to eat.
Malte entertained Olivia, and she was so happy, laughing and wrapping him around her finger(s). They looked at the sea, and when we left, Olivia said "Bye bye water."
Max is such a super wonderful boy. He slept the whole time. This ment so much to me (and Olivia). I don't remember the last time I could sit down, relax and eat, at the same time have an adult conversation.
I am so thankful to my (our) friends.
This is grande Amore!

Lets Back up a Little #2

Christmas came as always... very quickly. I still remember how long Christmas Holiday was when I was a little girl, I waited and waited for Santa to come.
Since I have been so busy with Max-- and he came too early-- my Christmas preparation totally stopped. Thanks to my husband he made sure we got a fresh new Christmas tree and a lot of presents under the tree, and in our stockings.
The Swedish Christmas, 24th, we celebrated in our home, and it was peaceful and nice. To see Olivia's joy when unwrapping all her presents was the best present itself.

No Santa came and knocked on our door, since Olivia is scared of this big-chubby-hairy-man-in-red. Then something interesting came up; who got the real Santa!?
The one that comes on the 24th and scares children and makes the dogs go bananas? Or, the one that comes through the chimney in the night and leaves presents in everybody stockings?
My Santa or my husbands Santa? Suddenly, the discussion was going lively here in Italy.
How would Olivia and Max explain when classmates told them that you cannot have two Santa's my husband wondered?

Time will tell!

The 25th my very good friend Paola invited us over for a wonderful Italian Christmas dinner together with her family and some friends. It was such a joy! Fantastic food and great presents, Olivia had a wonderful time with two girls in her age *one is her best friend Chiara*, Maximillian got admired by everyone, and we got to eat several dishes of fantastic food.
That's Amore!

Happy Birthday to Me

Yesterday was my birthday. Already.... cough, cough..... years-old, time goes quickly when you are having fun.

I was touched by so many friends remembering my birthday and thtat they took the time to wish me a Happy Birthday--through cards, phone calls, text messages, e mails--.

From Sweden, Bosnia, Italy, Bahrain, and USA.

My husband had made a great surprise and invited friends to our favorite restaurant. My friend who owns Ribot restaurant had made a wonderful table and the birthday cake was awesome. Big and pink and one candle (thank you)!

I don't want to bragg that my presents were awesome (but they were), I guess I do something right!

Olivia was with us the whole evening until 23:00 and did it with such a greatness, we were so proud over her, our angel.

Posting a picture of our house, our casa.

Thank you all, I love you.

Blessed delivery

Olivia's super God-parents have a bundle of joy of their own! They have christened him "Oliver", and he is happy and healthy, and adored by his parents, as well as their other "kids", Pippi and Kid.

We are so happy for them!
Bellisimo!!
