SOMMAR I SVERIGE - SUMMER DAYS IN SWEDEN PART 2

The love between Olivia and her Godfather Benny is big.

Benny picked us up from our hotel and we all drove home to his fabulous home in Limhamn, Malmo. What a fantastic home. We ate, talked and the kids played. Everything felt so fantastic.

When I was a child, I admired the actress Edvard Persson. He was one of my biggest idols.
I loved the black and white movies. He sang so wonderful and he was always kind. He could become angry if there were any wrongfulness. It was like that I always dreamt about.

Skulle vara fin i min tradgard!

This cow would be lovely in my garden.
Nar ni besoker Malmo maste ni prova att ata pa dena resturangen. Helt otroligt bra! Friisgatan.

If you are visiting Malmo, you have to eat at this Rawfood Place on Friisgatan. To die for!

Nar vi kom upp pa vart rum stod dessa underbara blommor och vantade pa oss. "Valkommen till Malmo" Underbara Sonja gor alltid sa man kanner sig som en Prinsessa.

When we came up to our room, these flowers were waiting for us with a card, "Welcome to Malmo"
Wonderful Sonja, always makes us feel super special. Like a Princess.

That's Amore!

WORDS ARE POWERFUL

Olivia’s tears were falling down heavily and determent on her cheeks.
“I miss my Godfather so much! And it’s not fair that Max is having his Godparents here in Germany   and mine are so far away.”

Being a multi-cultural child isn’t always easy.  Different nationalities, different countries leave long gaps in-between seeing the ones you care most about.  This time when we flew to Sweden, we got to see her Godfather Benny again.   He has been busy traveling around and working a lot in many countries.   Olivia was exited to see him again-- and we all were.

In Malmo, we went into the spiritual bookstore Sok & Finn.  Benny’s books were standing on the bookshelves, his face peering out at the customers (--seven books not bad my friend).  I pointed at one of them, and asked Olivia, “Who is that?”

Her eyes sparkled, “Benny! Is he famous?  I didn’t know he was famous!”

We had never talked about Benny’s profession or his books.  For us, he is a friend.  Olivia took the book and walked up to the cashier, “Look, this is my Godfather!”
So proud over someone’s success, and not feeling any envy.

Both my children feel and share love; they love hugging people.  I guess they get that from four years growing up in Southern Italy; where joy, appreciation and love were the ingredients in our life.

Benny and Olivia finally got to meet and she was so satisfied to be around him again.  He understood her longing, to feel close to him.  When it was time to leave he said he wanted to give her a special gift.  We drove to the Efva Attling jewelry store and we walked in.  Her creations are magnificent!  They have tiny messages on them that has such deep meaning to the one who wears her creations.   Benny and Olivia chose a necklace with the words; ‘I Miss You.”

Olivia felt special, and kisses it every now and then, feeling longed for.

“I know Benny will always be there for me,” she said after we had said our good-byes.

That’s Amore!

PLAY-DOG COVER MAGAZINE

I am still amazed! Remember Giove from the terrible shelter --AWL went in and rescued dogs-- one year ago The dogs drank their own urine, and after wards two veterinarians wanted to put him to sleep (they thought he was dangerous because he panicked when they wanted to put a needle in him). He stayed in my house for a while--wonderful with all my dogs and children--, his "parents" drove down from Sweden and adopted him. What happened then?
All our beloved Giove is the cover dog on a very successful magazine, together with "mom" Erika and "uncle" Benny. I can assure you he is having the best time in his life right now, Giove PlayDog!
We are so Amore Happy for you sweet Giove.
Tidngningen Nara kan du lasa Gioves langa historia, och mycket annat andligt julgott!

Time to go home...

And so another week has gone by, too quickly. I cannot say I am sad to leave a cold, rainy 12C Malmo, Sweden to return “home” to southern Italy and 28C. But it has been great to meet many animal lovers and I hope that with my lecture I planted a BIG seed to fight for those without any voice. Now you have the knowledge!

Friday we were invited to “my” publisher for coffee and cake, and interesting conversation. You guys are so warm and wonderful. Thanks! (picture)

Saturday, Olivia’s Godfather Benny celebrated her birthday in his tastefully decorated apartment with many antiques --- that made me sweat watching Olivia running around together with Benny’s sweetheart Golden Retriever “Valentino”. Benny is a well known author and a hair designer --- a man with a great big heart. (picture)

Books by Benny Rosenqvist, Överlevaren and Shoppa inte kärlek när du längtar.
