I have not had writers block, it seems like I have had time block instead.
But before Easter I went out to Centro Laila with some things to donate. I always get so inspired with the family that runs the Centro every day, twenty-four & seven. Think if we all had the same goal, same energy, what a different planet we would live on.
The profile of most the children of Centro Laila,: children of illegal immigrants, prostitutes, a result of incest, and those who have escaped from child labour commercial organizations.
Established and run by the Luciano family for the last 20 years the Laila Centre has dedicated itself to the task of providing these children with an education that will allow them to become integrated with society, keeping them in a stable environment where they are loved and where they can learn how to return that affection. These are the basic aims of their operation - to build a strong foundation to meet the most urgent needs of the people. They pursue their objectives daily and with great conviction, promoting a continuous and productive association with various institutions for the purpose of enhancing the work of the Laila Centre through different kinds of contributions and deconsolidating a strong safety net of services for the child.
This is big time Amore!

Do these Children Have Families or are they Orphans? Do theylive at Centro Laila? I ask because we just held a Christmas gift exchange at our base with some of the children so they could have a better christmas :) I was wondering do they do adoptions of any of these children to willing families? Please let me know if you have details or if they have families and are just less fortunate. Thx so much :)
