SATURDAY'S STERILIZATION

AWL is sponsering two dogs from Rossella shelters to be steralized. Thank you Pio for driving them to LegaProAnimale.

Giada is her name a wonderful lady who finally nursed all her puppies and could be steralized now.

Some time ago AWL had Diana Pit bull sterilized too. We got good news yesterday, she got a home! Congratulation family for getting a wonderful "friend"

WE ALL ARE HELPINGTO REACH THE SAME GOAL HEALTHY STRAY'S

And Wendy brought her foster dog out to Lega for sterilization and AWL could help.
One volunteer brought the dog Diana in for sterilization and thanks to donations for spay and neuter we can support.

Wonderful Steph from the vet clinic on base called and told me that I could come and get 13 bags of dog food. Wow, I was in heaven so many bags from one person! He had said he had enough feeding the strays he wanted to bring them home all of them. SO he decided that rather that "just" quiet he bought food and let someone else do it. That is wonderful thinking. Instead of letting the pain eat you up and not doing anything, he changed the concept. I love that!

WHAT A MORNING AT THE CLINIC

Marua rescued a starving doberman with terrible skin mange last year in June. Ever since she has educated, running to the vet, medicated and done everything. Bella is today getting serialized. Bella is up for adoption, but Maura promised her when she found her to make her strong and beautiful before getting her a good family. I admire Maura for keeping her word. Maura also helped me with the wonderful puppies Rose and Cody. They were adopted 2 months ago by Erica and her family. And we promised her too that they would be serialized and castrated.

They were of course charming us all. You could notice that they came from a good family.

In the car, Cody sang but Rose was quiet. But we didn't mind. At the vet with Dr. Gigi they were so good.

Even better behaving than me when I am visiting my doc.
More happened this day but that will be a follow up tomorrow.

LILLY CHLOE

Olivia's school teacher had found this beautiful young dog roaming around on the streets. She and her family took her in and named her Lilly. The teacher asked me if AWL could help her pay for the steralization and they would be able to afford keeping her.
Like we have said before it is very expencive here with the medical treatments.
AWL always try to help those who help. So this morning when I dropped off Olivia and Max I got Lilly. What a sweet heart! She sat so quiet and nice the whole way in to Dr Damiani's clinic.
I told that we would also pay for a health check up, microchip and vaccination. We want a happy healthy rescue dog together with a happy family. That's Amore!

UPDATE LUCY & PENNY

I went and picked up Lucy from LPA where she had been sterilized after we had found the "owner" through her microchip. The "owner" said she had given her to a person in Frignano but if we wanted Lili (owner's given name for the dog) "we could keep her". Incredible! Lilli is 11 months old, and was transported to a foster family. The magic is AWL Eric found her a home, a warm family that loves her and thinks she is a wonderful lapdog.

Penny was found by AWL Eric with a big heavy chain around her neck. He drove her to LPA were she got sterilized, de wormed and frontlined. I picked her up the same day I picked Lucy up and transferred her to Eric were he transferred her to her new owner.

The new owner is madly in love with sweet Penny.

AWL thanks Eric for working hard finding good homes for those who got kicked out in the cold. We also want to thank YOU for your donations, thanks to you we can have them sterilized and health checked. This is Amore working together.

Fiori: A New Start in Life

Remember Fiori from the shelter were AWL went and cleaned twice? She was left alone with her brother in an apartment. Her family moved to their "home" country and didn't bring them with them. When we came to the shelter everyone could sense she was different. Incredibly loving and calm, and charmed us all. On top of everything she was pregnant (nobody knew!). Here are her sweet puppies (picture above and last picture). We hope they will have a good start in life, with someone that adopts them, and keeps them.

My husband picked Fiori up and brought her to LegaProAnimale--even Dr. Gigi thought she was sweet-- were she will be sterilized, de-wormed and treated with Frontline(tm). She was back in the SUV in a crate that she sneaked out from and climbed the whole way to Todd and sat in his lap the whole 45 minutes drive.

We got good news. Fiori is being adopted by Brian and his wife, they that adopted Lui. We wish them all the Amore and happiness together. Good Luck Fiori with your new family.

Animals Without Limits want to thank Tracey Kleber for her generous donation. She and her sister Megan are true loving animal lovers/helpers and with their wonderful heart the also encourage AWL to keep up our good work. That's Amore

Animals without Limits

Went out on a mission today--like my daughter loves to say "mission"--and to the same area as usual. We just got into the neighborhood when this three (3) month old puppy was running around in stress in a lot of glass, trying to escape the big four (4) lane road that was next to her.

We approached her slowly, making sure we had the road behind us. I have seen many people approaching dogs from the sidewalk --and the dog doesn't know if you are a friend or an enemy-- In many cases the dog tries to escape by running out in the street. Of course, that can have terrible consequences, and would be exactly what we don't want to have happen.

We saw some blood on the puppy, and she looked very skinny. We could see more than thirty (30) ticks crawling and biting her. In her ears they were crawling on top off each other.

Private escort in my big Chevy Suburban to Dr Friz' veterinarian clinic. Blondie (as we named her) has to stay there for five (5) days. A big health check up, vaccination and sterilization will be done. Then she should be ready for a loving family!

It is very important to get a proper health check. If having children at home, or other animals, it is even more important. You don't know what you are bringing in that can affect your "kids", and even those of us with unlimited amore need to protect our families.

Animals without Limits (established 1999) is not an adoption foundation, but when finding sick dogs we will do our best to help that fellow to find a new home after he/she is healthy and spayed.

Naples Friends of Animals are working with adoptions and helping animals in need in this area.

This is "we all are helping" Amore! There should be no competition Amore here!
