COBY IS IN A FOSTERHOME BECAUSE HE GOT DUMPED BY SOMEONE ELSE

The foster family named him Coby. He is a sweet, naive and kind Doberman mix who so enjoys life.
His fostermom picked him yesterday and he now stays with them and his new friend. Coby loves to ride in the car, he can sit, stay and give a paw when the food is coming. He is also castrated.

He loves to admire you, with a little kindness, he will think highly of you and give you loyalty; and in return he never wants to be dumped again.

If you can meet his standards, please contact us and we can give you more info from fostermom Karina.

ABBY UPDATE

Read earlier blogs about Abby, she was probably hit by a car, left on a gas station, couldn't walk, sneezing blood.
Abby's foster family had to go back to the States on an Emergency leave yesterday, so Abby is staying in our home until they come back. (What number is she now...13 or 14? I don't dare to count)
We love Abby! She is so easy going, and sweet. No accidents inside the house, she goes great with all the dogs (13 or 14 or 16?) Olivia my daughter, is madly in love with Abby. When she wakes up, she runs down to her. Coming home from school=runs inside the house calling for Abby.
We are in love with Abby!
We wish her foster parents a safe trip and hope everything goes well. You guys have done a great job with Abby! Our Amore Abby

Rehab Foster Home Needed

AWL is searching for a rehab foster home for this sweet female. Her two back legs are probably broken. We have arranged to pick her up from the shelter were she has been for three (3) years.
We'll transfer her to a vet. clinic for examination, x ray and if necessary...surgery. What we need is a calm, loving foster home for her to recover in. Recovery time is hard to tell, it can be everything between 2 weeks to 6 months that she needs proper care, rest and love. She will give you so much back, she is the sweetest, kindest, loving dog I have ever met.

Lindy brushed her, bathed her, and even cut her claws. She only loved sitting there in the grass being seen, touched and talked to.

Please put your own needs to the side, open your door for someone that needs healing.

Molly My Molly

We have known Molly for over a year, passing her by the lake by the garbage and together with two other dog friends. In the middle of the garbage people would put out food for them, I stopped and medicated them, and put frontline on them.

Molly was the one most loving. One day one dog was gone, killed we presume...another day the other one was gone, probably killed.

We tried to ask people to adopt her or foster her, no luck. On our way home from the dog walk I had the AFN team filming her situation and help me maybe find someone that could take her home.

We couldn't bring her in here, 14 dogs and another one can risk the harmony in the pack. And, my neighbor's they are so wonderfully patience with us.

I think it was a week ago I got a feeling that something bad would happen to Molly, I told my husband. He asked me several days what we should do? My answer was the same every day; "I don't know!"

Yesterday, Olivia our 4 year old daughter burst out, "Molly is dead, she doesn't have any eyes, she died in the fire!"

Todd drove out to see Molly but she was gone...the whole surrounding area was burned down.

We are keeping our eyes open, and keep driving past, hoping against hope that she will turn up. But increasingly, we fear that Olivia's channeling is right. And the world has lost another sweet, innocent soul, needlessly.

A day with mixed results

The frustration continues with trying to find the owner of "Oscar", the Dalmatian we found emaciated this past week. After calling Germany, Canada, the USA, The Netherlands and of course Italy, I was able to track the micro-chip back to the manufacturer (Bayer) in Milan, who sold it to a veterinarian in Naples (ah ha!). Unfortunately, that Vet. had no record of who purchased the micro-chip (uh, isn't that the whole purpose of micro-chipping in the first place?) But wanted me to bring the dog to them and they would continue to check!

Not!

So, no answer yet on who the owner is/was, and without that, we can't have him neutered, vaccinated, or anything. Its frustrating to say the least.

On the other hand, our efforts ended well with placing "Oscar" into a loving foster home. This family was a dog family, but lost their beloved companion to aggressive Cancer last Christmas. So, now until we find a "forever home" for "Oscar", these great people will nurse him back to health for whoever eventually winds up with this great soul.

Its almost like "Oscar" knows he is in good hands now, too. While he didn't seem too enthusiastic when I picked him up at the Vet's, when we got to the foster family, he brightened right up. He started to act almost like a puppy, albeit one that is still severely malnourished and living in an adult dog's body

Here is a picture of Stephanie and Oscar at their first meeting. Doesn't it look like they've been together forever?

Special thanks to Stephanie and her family for opening their home and hearts to this special Dalmatian in need of extra Amore.
