WHAT A PARTY!

Jennifer, of Hotel Agora, spearheaded the charity BBQ. She actually approached us about doing this. She solicited most of the sponsors, organized the event, and ran the event. She even had the humility to get choked up while thanking the sponsors, donors and US! What a great lady, backed by an awesome family and hotel staff.

Food's ready! People start lining up for the BBQ and buffet. It was perfect weather for the event, too.
Sarah came and did face (and arm) painting for the kids in attendance. What talent!

Olivia models one of Sarah's masterpieces.

The T-Shirt vendor on post donated 40 custom T-shirts for the volunteers. Here you can see some of the sponsors' logos. We thank you all so very much.

Our wonderful sponsors.

My job was easy. The volunteer team took care of most of the planning, set up and running the event. I was there to talk to people, answer questions, and make a short speech. How cool is that?
Our goal was to put images of the problem in front of as many people, as much as possible. We had a video looping through the night by the bar, we had pictures hanging on the hedge around the pool, a wonderful book of pictures that Trina put together, and this incredible collage that Rita created. Thank you all so much for your amore and creativity.

Rita and me in front of her super collage.
This was a wonderful night with friends (and friends of animals), we all had fun, good food and drink, and best of all, raised a lot of money so we can continue our mission helping the animals in crisis, chaos and war zones. Giving a voice to those without.
More pictures to come! That's amore!
